Janel Andre BodyCare was created with the premise that everyone, regardless of the occasion, could make any time or day a reason to "Celebrate Yourself."  The company was created by sole proprietor, Sharetta Pauley Marcus.  After receiving her B.S. degree in Nursing from Hampton University, she immediately recognized that her nurturing skills weren't just limited to the healthcare arena.  Her aspirations were to become an entrepreneur.

Coming from a Southern family of creative women, Marcus reaclled her mother and late grandmother preparing homemade soap all throughout her childhood.  She then consorted with her mother to create naturally aromatic bodycare products that would be beneficial to the senses and the skin.  With a combination of detailed research and generations-old family recipes, she "fashioned" creams, lotions, scrubs and eventually liquid soaps/body rinses.  With friends and family clamoring for her products, the next step was to launch her line to the public.  And thus marked the debut of Janel Andre BodyCare in the year 2000.

Although one ilk of her expertise is nourshing the epidermis, her keen eye for fashion is also an aspect she incorporates into her flourishing businesses.  Marcus also owns Timeless Pieces Vintage Clothing, which offers divinely tailored, one-of-a-kind vintage garments and accessories that, at first glance, command attention.

Sharetta Marcus' dreams haven't come to road's end just yet. In the coming years, she plans the unveiling of JA Spas, as well as a line of loungewear that will complement her bodycare products.

Marcus' drive, tenacity and diligence in creating the best products possible solidifies the message that implores people everywhere to recognize that anytime is the right time to "Celebrate Yourself!"
